Chernarus servers

Chernarus is the DayZ coastline people mean when they say "the map". Electro, Berezino, the northwest airfield, and the logging camps are still the routes new players learn first. Ranked community servers on Chernarus tend to be the fullest, because a vanilla or lightly modded ruleset does not have to teach a second geography. The latest DayZ Manager index counted 1182 ranked Chernarus servers and about 10567 players on them. A Chernarus host lives or dies on tick rate once the coast fills. The terrain is large, the loot economy is well understood, and players will leave a pretty hostname if the server stalls at night. Persistence, a published wipe, and an honest player count matter more here than a stack of trader mods.
