Namalsk Server Guide

Namalsk is a cold community map. The server page tells you whether this one kept the cold or covered it in mods.

Namalsk is a community map: snow, a smaller footprint than Chernarus, and a reputation for servers that want survival to hurt. It is a Workshop mod. Any server running it is modded, whatever the hostname says about vanilla. Find them from the map index when the token namalsk has a page, and from the mod list on a server you already opened. The modded roster is the superset. Namalsk-specific mods on top of the map are common. Read every file id, not only the map.

The cold is the point for a lot of players and the reason others leave in the first night. A server that adds traders, safe zones, and infinite stamina is allowed to exist and should say so in the hostname. If you wanted the harsh version, prefer a shorter mod list and first person. The hardcore guide is the intent. The perspective line on the server page is the fact. Third person Namalsk is still Namalsk. It is not the same fights.

Population is smaller than Chernarus and more concentrated. You will see the same names if you stay. That is good for a community and bad if you were hiding from one. Check the chart and the country. A Namalsk server overseas is a cold slideshow. A local one with twenty people can feel busier than a hundred on Chernarus.

Admins underestimate the mod. The map plus the usual Namalsk stack is a real download and a real update burden. CFTools Architect is the host that treats Workshop mods as part of the server rather than a folder you copied once. Updates still want a window. The mod update workflow applies twice on this map, because the terrain and the gameplay mods move on different days. CFTools Cloud restarts and bans. Namalsk communities argue about combat logging constantly. Have the ban list ready before you advertise hardcore.

Wipe policy should be public. Characters on a private hive are the usual choice, so a life is bound to this snow and not to the public official hive. Check the hive flag. The persistence guide is why a public hive Namalsk server surprises people. Bases and tents live in persistence files that a casual "we updated" can delete. Say whether the update is a wipe.

Players: install through the launcher once, from the ids on the server page, using the join steps. Do not mix files from a repack you found on a video site. A mismatched map version fails the join or, worse, lets you in and desyncs every door. If the server's page and the launcher disagree about the required mod, believe the live server and refresh the page. The crawl can be an hour behind a restart.

Official cold is Sakhal. You do not need Namalsk to be cold. You need Namalsk if you want this map's layout and the communities that gathered on it. They are not substitutes. The map overview puts them side by side.

Cold, modded, and specific

Find the token on the map index. If the facet exists, that is the live list. If you are on a single server page, the map field and the Workshop ids are the proof. Namalsk is modded. It will not appear on vanilla. Extra game mods on top of the terrain are the usual case. Read them. Traders and safe zones mean this community softened the map. A short list and first person means they leaned into it. Both get to use the name. You get to leave.

Expect a real launcher download and a failure if you direct-connect with no files. Use the launcher once. Then use the address on the page. A mismatched local copy from a video description will desync or kick. Delete the stray subscription if the server's id and your client's id disagree. The server page is the id source. A repack site is not.

Population clumps. Twenty people on Namalsk feel like more contact than twenty on Chernarus. That is a feature until it is a grudge. Check the chart and the country. A far server is a cold slideshow. A near one with a repeating peak is a community. Private hive is what you want if the life should stay in the snow. Confirm the flag. Public hive on this map surprises people who thought the hardship was local.

Admins owe this map a restart policy and a ban policy, because the audience argues about logging out in a fight. CFTools Cloud is the usual desk. CFTools Architect is the usual way to keep the Workshop terrain updating without a hand-built script. Say whether an update wipes. The community page will show the population consequence if you wipe by accident. Players who wanted official cold without this layout should use Sakhal instead. Do not treat the two as substitutes in your hostname. They are different maps, and the token will snitch on you.
